DO bring a credit card to class. You'll need it for setting up a hosting account and buying a theme.
If you’ve already got a domain name (but no hosting account*) you’ll want to do the following before the first class.
- Login to your registrar account. (The company from whom you purchased your domain name)
- Change the DNS settings to the following:
ns1.hammock-hosting.website
ns2.hammock-hosting.website
If you’re not sure how to do that, you can call your registrar for help.
Please be sure to change the nameservers at least 24 hours before class. It takes a while for this to kick in. 48 hours is safer.
*If you don’t have a hosting account and you try to view your site in your browser, you may see a placeholder page. If you do have a hosting account, you’ll see a website when you visit your site.
